German Shorthaired Pointer puppies bred and raised here at Oak Run Kennels in South Georgia. We are located in South Georgia about 20 minutes south for Albany. This area is known for quail hunting and that is what our dogs are bred to do. Many of our local plantations and hunt clubs have Oak Run dogs in their kennels. Our pups come from both German and American bloodlines. Our goal is to produce dogs that can excel in the field in various hunting styles and also be competitive in field trials. Our dogs make great companions that are easy to train and are great around people. Please Sign up for updates or give us a call and we would be glad to talk to you.
In order to reserve a puppy we require a $200 deposit. Picks of a litter are made in the order of your deposit. Deposits are not refundable. The only time that a deposit is refundable is if a pup isn’t available for your specific pick. Example being you have 4th pick male and there are only 3 males available. If you have any other questions about making a deposit just give us a call or send us a message and we will be glad to get back with you. We begin taking deposits whenever a breeding takes place. All pups are $1200 no matter the sex of the pup. All pups are required to be registered with AKC and must be registered with the Oak Run prefix. Our dogs receive all age appropriate vaccinations and dewormings prior to leaving the kennel. Your pup will go home with a health record. Pups have tails docked and dew claws removed by our vet at 3 days old. All pups will be microchipped prior to leaving to new homes. We offer a health guarantee with our pups. Details about our health guarantee are included in our puppy buyer contract. We strongly encourage you to trial or hunt test your pup. We can help walk you through this process. This is detailed on our training page. We offer lifetime support with all of our pups. Anytime you need anything just give us a call. We are here for you and want your pup to be successful.
