Our Story

Oak Run Kennels was started in the fall of 2003 with the purchase of a German Shorthaired Pointer. From that day we were hooked on birddogs. We have had many dogs over the years and many breeds but we have never lost the love for the GSP. Our mission is to have a dog that can do it all and be competitive at all levels of trialing and hunt testing. Our dogs are bred to be a hunters companion. They are able to go hard in the field, woods, and water all day and then snuggle up on the couch with you when the day is done.
